Sewer Odors
Are you having sewer odors? Does it come and go and you can't figure out where its coming from? There is a way to find the problem....Smoke Testing. Yes, a safe, non-toxic, non-hazardous smoke testing application to find any cracks or breaks in the plumbing system. Before you spend needless dollars on excavation or replacing drain lines consider a smoke test. In one instance a business office continued to have sewer odors to the extent that they had to have the windows open in the winter and some office staff would complain of feeling ill. We were able to do the smoke test and find that an old plumbing fixture behind recently installed wall partitions had been left exposed with no cover and the odors were escaping into the walls and we found the smoke exiting the door jam. A little carpentry and a plumbing cover later, all is well in this office. If you look closely you can see the smoke coming out of the striker plate.
